The real estate billionaire from Stora Mellby, Roger Akelius, is now donating 800 million kronor to
UNICEF's work for children in Gaza.
The donation is a doubling of the amount that the Swedish government is now giving and is the largest individual donation to UNICEF ever.
According to Akelius himself, the goal is to build 400 new schools in the bombed-out area.

Real estate billionaire Roger Akelius is donating SEK 800 million to Gaza via Unicef and hisAkelius Foundation, according to a press release.
"A school for 250 students, teachers and food for fi ve years costs around a couple ofmillion kronor, depending on tents or permanent buildings. Akelius contributes 400schools," writes the charity's chairwoman Kerstin Engström.
